Lack of muscle tone in the inner thigh area is a common problem. The Vastus Medialis or teardrop muscle, situated on the inside of the knee and responsible for stablilizing the kneecap, is the muscle to target for toned, strengthened inner thighs Weakness in this muscle will place undue pressure on the knees and overtime give the appearance of sagging. So, it’s time to do something about it Inner Thigh Toning Exercises Leg Extensions Sit on the floor with one leg straight the other bent at the knee with sole of foot on floor A flat weight such as book should be place mid thigh on the extended leg. Hands should be positioned behind you on the floor for balance. Breathing in, raise the extended leg six inches or so off the floor and hold for ten seconds. Breathing out slowly lower the leg to the floor. Repeat ten times for each leg or for as many times as is tolerably uncomfortable. Knee Squeeze Sit on a comfortable chair . Place a cushion between your knees and press. Hold for thirty seconds then relax. Repeat Hack Squat Stand with knees slightly apart and feet facing forward. Taking a weight in each hand and breathing in, bend at the knees (maintaining a straight back) so that you are virtually in a sitting position.
