This strawberry custard tart recipe is truly sublime and is very, very simple to make, you’ll be the wonder of your social circle when you produce this masterpiece. This recipe also compliments our raspberry cheesecake recipe so will go down well at any party or social gathering.

Visit our OPH Good Housekeeping & Homemaking Weights & Measures conversion tables for precise ingredient measures.

Ingredients (serves 15)
50g butter
100g caster sugar
2 eggs
100g flour
125ml milk
5ml vanilla essence
300ml vanilla custard
5g baking powder
500g fresh strawberries

Directions
The first thing you need to do for this raspberry custard tart recipe is to grab yourself a fair sized mixing bowl and beat into it the butter and sugar until it is nice and creamy. Next thoroughly mix in the egg and vanilla.

When you’re happy with your mixing efforts stir in the milk and add the flour and baking powder and mix vigorously until the mixtures are well blended.

The penultimate task in this raspberry custard tart recipe is to pour the mixture into a greased baking tin and bake in a pre-heated oven (180 degrees C, 350 degrees F) for 25-30 minutes or until the tart is golden brown. Leave it to cool in the tin and then transfer to a plate.

The final homemaking task is to smear the vanilla custard over the surface of the tart and arrange the (halved) strawberries nicely on top.

Congratulations you have completed this strawberry custard tart recipe, now enjoy.
