Nowadays more and more people are reducing the costs of their parties by hosting them in their homes and gardens (the latter is ideal, weather permitting). These parties are perfect if you want to keep the celebrations low key and just invite immediate family members and close friends.
A house party gives you the additional advantage of maintaining control over the key elements of the party, such as food, drinks and music, and will therefore make good housekeeping and homemaking less taxing.
