Floor Cleaning Tips

Take the grime out of your floors with these handy floor cleaning tips.

Gone are the days when many of us had linoleum (lino) throughout the house, with maybe a piece of carpeting in the sittng room. Todays flooring varies greatly, not only from house to house but also room to room. It is important to apply the correct cleaning procedures dependant on the type of flooring in order for it to look good and last longer.

Ceramic Tiles.

Sweep with a soft brush or vaccum clean.

Damp mop with clean, warm water and rubbing alcohol solution ( 1 cup rubbing alcohol to 2 gallons water. For localised stubborn marks treat directly with a scrubbing brush or hard toothbrush. If the overall appearance looks dingy try using a weak bleach and warm water solution (half cup of bleach to 2 gallons of water)

Remember that if you use chemicals it’s important to mop again using clear water to avoid a build up of chemicals on the flooring
