Apple corer a handy little gadget which corks screws into an apple, removing the cork and leaving the apple intact. An excellent cookware cooking utensil.
Baking tray Assortments of different alumunium or stainless steel trays, primarily used for baking such items, as cakes, baked potatoes etc.
Bamboo broom Is a device made from bamboo which is used to clean woks, primarily in Chinese cuisine
Bamboo steamers Sometimes known as a dim sum steamer, as the name suggest these special steamers are made from bamboo which are predominately used in Chinese cooking.
Bar Knife This device is used for cutting citrus fruit, such as lemons, limes, oranges etc and includes a cap lifter.
Baster These gizmos are used to remove liquid from a roasting tray, when meat is cooking in order to brush or pour it onto the said meat to aid it in cooking.
Cake comb a triangular shaped device with serrated edges used in cake decorating.
Chakla a stone or wooden rolling board used in Indian cuisine to roll bread and the like.
Chopping board This cookware cooking utensil is a board made out of various materials. They are sturdy and can be found in different sizes. They are generally used for chopping vegetables on.
Cling film Plastic transparent wrapping film used to cover food, keeping it fresh.
Colander A bowl shaped utensil containing many hole, which can be found in various sizes, this are used to strain foods, say potatoes, carrots and the like.
Conical strainer This cookware cooking utensil is similar to the colander (see above), this, as the name suggests is a conical shaped device containing very small holes which is generally used to remove lumps from sauces.
Cooling rack This cookware cooking utensil as a raised wire grid-like tray which cooked food is placed onto so that air can get to the top and bottom of the cooling food.
Egg separator This cookware cooking utensil a handy little device into which you crack the egg, which then holds the yolk, whilst the albumen slips through.
Egg slicer is a device which allows a hard boil egg to be sliced into perfect discs via a number of coiled cutters.
Egger timer A little device which comes in variety of sizes. It usually contains sand and has two separate chambers separated by a small channel, when it is turned up side down the time it takes for the top chamber to empty traditionally indicates the boiling time it takes to boil an egg.
Foil Thin sheets of aluminium, which are used to cover foods, keeping them thresh and relatively warm. Due to their metallic form they are used for baking purpose as they reflect heat, can be used to bake meats, as well as baking potatoes.
Food processor This cookware cooking utensil is an electronic device with motorized blades which is used to blend together different foods. Can be used to make smoothies, soups etc by mixing together various solid food stuff.
Frying pan A round shallow pan which is used to fry, braise, and sautι different foods.
Garlic press A handy little device which minces garlic so you dont have to grate or finely chop it.
Grill pan A pan that is used in conjunction with the grill which has a ridged base.
Gateaux slicer This cookware cooking utensil is flat pointed spoon with a triangular shaped head, with angled handle, especially used to cut and slice cakes, pastries and the like without too much difficulty.
Grater A dives containing various groups of multi-purpose blades which are used to grate various foods, such as zest, cheese, carrots and garlic.
Kadai - This is a deep frying pan, not too dissimilar to the wok.
Ladle This cooking utensil is used to stir and transfer soups, punches, and sources and has a long handle with a deep spoon like scooper at the end.
Loaf pan This cookware cooking utensil as the name suggests this cooking utensil is a deep loaf shaped pan in which bread, meatloaf and cakes are baked.
Meat tenderizer A mallet which is used to flatten meat such as mince meat and softer varieties of meat, it has a ridged face, so that it can break surface fibres.
Mortar and pestle Both these items are used in conjunction to grind down a variety of different mixtures. They are usually made of a heavy, durable stone such as granite.
Moulds These are different shaped hollowed containers in which liquid is poured to make it set in a particular pre-defined shape.
Nozzle a conical shaped device with a grooved mouth which fits on the end of a piping bag.
Palette knife A longish blunt knife, which is a smoothing device used to smooth different cake mixtures onto cakes.
Piping bag A bag used in cake decorating, which is used in conjunction with the nozzle, the bag is then squeezed and the user then decorates the said cake.
Pizza wheel This device has a longish handle, which has a wheeled saw-like device on the end, used for cutting pizzas and garlic bread.
Potato peeler a knife shaped device with a central blade special used to de-skin root vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots etc.
Pressure cooker A cooking device which is airtight not letting liquids or air to escape, as the pressure increase so does the natural boiling point of the liquid in which the food is being cooked i.e. Water has a natural boiling point of 100 degrees C, but in a pressure cooker this will rise above the said 100 degrees C.
Pulveriser Similar to a food processor this device is more durable and is able to blend tougher ingredients.
Scooper A round spine-like device used for spooning out ice cream and the like, into spherical forms.
Sieve A device similar to the conical strainer, which is generally used to remove lumps from powder, such as flour and icing sugar.
Spatula a flat spoon-like device which is used as a smoothing aide as well as used for mixing purposes
Tandoor Clay oven used in Indian cuisine, which is used to bake breads and tikkas amongst other things.
Tin Opener A special device fitted with a grip and a blade, as the name suggests is used to peel the lid from tinned food.
Whisk A utensil with a combination of fixed wire loops used to thicken and mix various foodstuff
Wok This is very similar to the Kadai and is used in Chinese cuisine to cook sauces and stir-fries, amongst others.
