Looking for cocktail recipes for an up coming party you’re organizing or do you just fancy relaxing in the bath with something other than the obligatory glass of wine? Well, if this is the case you’ve come to the right place.

We have included all the famous cocktails here, including; Pina Colada, Snowball, Tequila Sunrise, Singapore Sling, Blue Lagoon and Harvey Wallbager amongst others.

Alexander Cocktail

Any special preparation needed?

For this cocktail recipe the Kahlua will have to poured into the glass first. When it’s time to put the Baileys into the glass you’ll need to use the back of a spoon. Slowly pour the Irish cream against the back of the spoon this will stop it from mixing with the Kahlua. Finally, drizzle the Grand Marnier over the baileys.

Bacardi cocktail

50 ml Bacardi Rum

50 ml Grenadine

50ml lime juice

Black Russian

30 ml vodka

30 ml Tia Maria

100 ml cola

Black velvet

½ Champagne flute of stout (usually Guinness)

½ Champagne flute of champagne (cider or perry can be used as alternatives)

Any special preparation needed?

For the preparation of this cocktail recipe you’ll need to pour the stout in first and the champagne second. This will ensure the Champagne will sit nicely on top.

If you choose to make “the poor man’s” black velvet and swap the champagne for perry or cider then traditionally you’ll pour this in first.

One final thing to note; the best results are achieved when the top layer is poured over the back of a spoon, this will stop the top layer from splashing into the bottom layer, therefore mixing the two together.

Bloody Mary

6 crushed ice cubes

50 ml vodka

100 ml tomato juice

Splash of Worcestershire sauce

Splash Tabasco sauce

Splash lemon juice

Salt and cayenne pepper to taste

Any special preparation needed?

The only preparation needed for this cocktail is that it’s best to put all the ingredients into a shaker or a blender (if you use a blender then put the ice cubes in whole as opposed to crushed) to allow all the flavours to mix perfectly. Oh, I nearly forgot traditionally this cocktail is served with a celery stick mmmmm.

Blue Lagoon

25 ml vodka

25 ml blue Curacao

100 ml lemonade

Bronx Cocktail

50 ml Gin

50 ml French vermouth

100 ml orange juice

Clover Club Cocktail

50 ml gin

1 egg white

25 ml grenadine

Dash lemon juice

Any special preparation needed?

The Clover Club cocktail recipe needs to be prepared using a cocktail shaker or blender. Just place all the ingredients into the shaker and give it a good old fashioned shake. This will allow all the ingredients to mix fully.

Cosmopolitan Cocktail

30 ml vodka

25 ml triple sec

75 ml cranberry juice

25 ml lime juice

5 g powdered sugar

Any special preparation needed?

The only prepartion for this cocktail recipe is that it should preferably be served in a chilled martini glass.

Gin Fizz

50 ml gin

Splash lemon juice

5 g powdered sugar

100 ml carbonated water

Any special preparation needed?

The ingredients for this cocktail should be placed in a cocktail shaker and given a good shake this will allow all the ingredients to mix perfectly.

Gin Rickey

50 ml gin

Splash lime juice

100 ml carbonated water

Any special preparation needed?

Place the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake until fully mixed.

Harvey Wallbanger

50 ml vodka

50 ml Galliano

100 ml orange juice

Long Island Iced Tea

50 ml vodka

25 ml gin

25 ml Tequila

25 ml Bacardi

50 ml lemon juice

15 ml crème de menthe

5 g powdered sugar

Any special preparation needed?

Place the ingredients to this potent cocktail recipe along with crushed ice into a cocktail shaker and get to work, making sure the ingredients are full blended.

Kamikaze

50 ml vodka

50 ml triple sec

50 ml lime juice

Mai-Tai

30 ml white rum

30 ml dark rum

15 ml amaretto

15 ml orange Curacao

15 ml sugar syrup

15 ml lemon juice

Any special preparation needed?

Place ice into a glass and fill it up with all the ingredients, give it a quick stir with a swizzle stick and hey presto you have a perfect Mai-Tai.

Manhattan

50 ml bourbon

25 ml Sweet vermouth

Splash of Angostura

Margarita

50 ml Tequila

25 ml lime juice

25 ml triple sec

5 g powdered sugar

Any special preparation needed?

For this delicious cocktail recipe, place the ingredients into a cocktail shaker along with crushed ice. Give the canister a good shake and pour into a Martini glass. The final touch is to place salt around the rim of the glass.

Old Fashioned Whiskey Cocktail

50 ml whiskey

25 ml Curacao

25 ml Angostura

5 g powdered sugar

Orange slice

Lemon peel

Pina Colada

50 ml white rum

50 ml coconut milk

50 ml pineapple juice

Any special preparation needed?

With a swizzle stick mix together all the ingredients. Serve in a glass with a chunk of pineapple on the rip with a cherry and colourful umbrella.

Raffles Singapore Sling

30 ml gin

15 ml Benedictine

15 ml cherry brandy

15 ml triple sec

Splash angostura

30 ml pineapple juice

30 ml orange juice

Rusty Nail

25 ml Drambuie

25 ml Jack Daniels

Sangria

750 ml red wine

20 g sugar

100 ml cognac

100 ml Cointreau

100 ml fresh orange juice

50 ml lemon juice

250 ml soda water

Any special preparation needed?

Pour all the ingredients except for the soda water into a large jug. To this add apricot and peach chunks along with slices of lemon and orange. Place the jug in the fridge for roughly 2 hours, add the soda water. Serve.

Screwdriver

50 ml vodka

Sex on The Beach

50 ml vodka

50 ml peach schnapps

100 ml blueberry juice

100 ml pineapple juice

Sidecar

50 ml brandy

25 ml cointreau

25 ml lemon juice

Any special preparation needed?

The only preparation to this cocktail recipe is in regards to the glass. Here you’ll need put a coating of sugar around the rim of the glass

Snow Ball

50 ml advocaat

100 ml lemonade

Dash lime juice

Any special preparation needed?

Give this cocktail a good mix with a swizzle stick so the thick advocaat can be dispersed equally.

Tequila Sunrise

50 ml white tequila

50 ml grenadine

100 ml orange juice

Any special preparation needed?

Firstly pour the tequila into the glass, put in some ice cubes, fill the glass with orange juice and put the grenadine on top; this will then allow the grenadine sink to the bottom of the glass.

White Lady

50 ml gin

25 ml cointreau

25 ml lime juice

White Russian

50 ml vodka

25 ml coffee liqueur

50 ml fresh cream or milk

Any special preparation needed?

Place the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and give it a thorough shake
