How do I maintain leather furniture?
In order to maintain the natural texture and shine of your leather furniture it is important to keep it out of direct sunlight as this can give it a dull complexion and cause the leather to tighten and eventually lead to crack.
Why not apply a homemade cleaning agent to it every now and again. Grab a small bottle and fill it with 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts linseed oil. Shake well and it is ready to apply
Apply the substance to the leather furniture with a soft cloth. Using a circular motion cover the entire surface. Leave for approximately 10 minutes before buffing with a clean soft cloth. For best results we recommended that you buff the leather furniture twice before you finish.
How do I remove stains when cleaning leather upholstery?
When removing stains it’s imperative that you do so as soon as you discover them as more often than not they’ll be a lot tougher eradicate the longer they are left untreated.
One of the most difficult stains to remove is ink; in order to remove it, take a soft dry cloth and dab at the ink, this will help remove some of the ink before it seeps too far into the leather.
Take another cloth and dampen it slightly with warm tap water. Using a circular motion and minimum pressure apply to the stained area.
For persistent stains apply a small amount of alcohol to a cotton bud and dab the area then dry using a blow dryer.
To remove scuff marks from leather a great tip is to use a 50:50 mix of cream of tartar and lemon juice. Mix the two substances together and apply to the mark and leave to settle for approximately 10 minutes. Wipe off using a damp cloth.
