The Christmas recipes (below)are very nice indeed, with the emphasis on ease.
As they are easy to make they will help decrease your housekeeping workload. Try them out, see what you think, I promise, you will not be dissapointed.

1.MINCE PIES
Ingredients
Jar of mincemeat
500 g plain sifted flour
250 g butter
4 g salt
Milk
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, add the butter and the salt to the flour and knead the ingredients.
Wrap the dough in some film and pop it in the fridge for roughly 60 minutes.
Use a roller on the dough to flatten it out and cut round shapes out of it.
Place the shaped dough into a cup baking tray and place a good helping of mince meat into each cup.
Use the milk to baste the edges of the pies and place another rounded piece of pastry on top and baste the top of the mince pies with milk.
Pierce the top of the pies and pop them into a preheated oven of 190 degrees C (380 degrees F) for roughly 25 minutes.
2.PORK PIE
Ingredients
500 g lean pork
125 ml jellied stock
Salt and pepper to taste
450 g plain flour
200 g lard
225 ml milk and warm water
Directions
In a bowl mix together the salt and flour and place to one side.
In a pan place the milk and water and heat, to this add the lard and when the mixture is just starting to bubble, remove from the hob and pour the ingredients into the flour.
Give it a quick stir and start to knead to make the dough
Flatten the dough by using a rolling pin cut 1/3 of the dough away and leave to one side.
Place the 2/3 of the dough into bread tin and work the dough up its sides.
Dice the pork and place it inside the crust. Then place the 1/3 of the dough on top as a lid and baste it with milk.
Prick the top of the crust and pop it in a preheated oven of 175 degrees C (350 degrees F) for roughly 90 minutes.
When it is cooked make a hole in the side of the pie and using a syringe inject the pork with the jelly.
3.CRANBERRY SAUCE
Ingredients
350 g cranberries
250 ml orange juice
200 g white sugar
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, grab yourself a saucepan, and into pour the orange juice and pop it on a medium heat hob.
To this add the sugar and cook until it dissolves. Pop the cranberries into the pan and cook for roughly 10 minutes or until they start to pop/burst.
Take the sauce off the hob and pour into a bowl and leave to cool, as this will thicken up the sauce.
4.ROAST TURKEY
Ingredients
15 pound turkey, with neck and giblets removed
2 small chopped onions
400 g kosher salt
3 chopped carrots
75 g melted butter
10 g thyme
200 ml dry white wine
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly rub both the inside and outside of the turkey with the salt. Then pop the turkey into a pan and cover it with water and place in the fridge over night.
Remove the turkey from the salt water and then give it a quick wash, place it in a roasting tray.
Baste the turkey with roughly half of the melted butter. Use 1.5 carrots, 1 onion, 5 g thyme to stuff the turkey and distribute the other onion, carrots and thyme around the outside of the turkey and pour the wine over it.
Place the turkey in a preheated oven at a temperature of 180 degrees C (360 degrees F) and cook for roughly 210 minutes.
After 140 minutes, turn the turkey upside down and baste the breast with the butter and place it back in the oven.
5.GLAZED HAM
Ingredients
1 bone-in shank ham
125 ml honey
125 g brown sugar
50 ml liquid smoke flavoring
35 ml Worcestershire sauce
1000 ml water
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, pop the ham into a roasting tray, pour in the water and cover and allow to cook on a heat of 140 degrees C (280 degrees F) for roughly 8 hours.
Drain away the juices of the ham and keep to one side (it will be needed later. T this point you need to remove the bone from the ham. When you have done this place it back into the roasting tray.
The juices which you have at hand, needs to be mixed with the other ingredients, so that now. Cover the ham with juices and pop it back in the oven for roughly 45 minutes.
6.ROAST GOOSE
Ingredients
10-11 pound goose
300 ml hot water
Salt and pepper to taste
Peeled orange cut into chunks
Peeled lemon cut into chunks
Apple cut into chunks
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, Season the goose with the salt and pepper and place the fruit inside the goose.
Place the goose on a baking tray and prick it with a fork and pour the hot water over it to loosen the skin.
Pop the goose into a preheated oven of 180 degrees C (360 degrees F) for roughly 180 minutes. Leave to cool, remove the fruit and carve.
7.CHRISTMAS PUDDING
Serves (5)
Ingredients
250 g mincemeat
60 g bread crumbs
5 g mixed spice
20 ml milk
20 g treacle
60 g self-raising flour
1 beaten egg
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, combine the egg and breadcrumbs in a bowl.
Then you need to mix in the flour, mincemeat, treacle and milk and give it a good stir.
Pop the pudding into a pressure cooker and cook as instructed by the manufacturers manual.
8.MULLED WINE
Ingredients
300ml water
100g brown sugar
4 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 bottle red wine
1 orange, thinly sliced
100ml brandy
100ml port
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, place into a pan the water, sugar and the spices and bring to the boil. Take it of the hob and add in the lemons stirring as you do so. Let it stand for 10 minutes
Place the pan back on the hob and add the wine, port and brandy and heat again, but what ever you do don’t let it boil as the alcohol will start to evaporate
Strain into a heated bowl. Add the orange slices and any other fruit if you like and serve hot.
9.SUPREME SMOKED SALMON
Serves (12)
Ingredients
750 g salmon fillet
10 g salt
20 g brown sugar
10 ml liquid smoke flavouring
Pinch black pepper
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, place the salmon on a baking tray with the skin facing downwards. Season the salmon with the sugar, pepper and salt.
Pour the liquid smoke flovouring evenly over the fillet. Cover it and place in the fridge to marinate for roughly 6 hours.
When it has finished marinating pour away any liquid and place in a preheated oven of 175 degrees C (350 degrees F) for approximately 45 minutes.
10.TURKEY STUFFING
Ingredients
1000 g pork sausage meat
1 chopped onion
100 g breadcrumbs
50 ml hot water
5 g sage
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, get a bowl and combine the breadcrumbs, onion, water an sage and give it a good stir, mix in the sausage meat and sprinkle the mixture with the salt and pepper. Congratulations you’ve made your tasty turkey stuffing.
11.TURKEY GRAVY
Ingredients
900 ml turkey drippings
125 g flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, when the turkey has finished roasting drain off the juices into a measuring jug until the level reaches roughly 1 liter.
Skim any fat from the top, and pour the juices into a pan along with the flour, season and allow the mixture to simmer for approximately 3 minutes. Serve.
12.ROAST POTATOES
Ingredients
1.5 kg potatoes
Salt
75 ml vegetable oil
Directions
Peel the potatoes and cut them into 4 inch chunks.
Place them in a pan of water, bring to the boil and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove the potatoes and allow them to cool.
When the potatoes have cooled sufficiently, scrape them with a fork and scrub with salt.
Pour the oil into a baking pan and heat, then pop the potatoes into the heated oil and place it in a preheated oven of 200 degrees C (400 degrees F).and allow to cook for roughly 60 minutes, turning them once. Serve.
13.SAUSAGE ROLL
Ingredients
500 g sausage meat
1 beaten egg
275 g puff pastry
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, roll out the pastry and cut out 4 strips (10 cm by 7cm)
Split the sausage meat into 4 separate parts and roll in 4 sausages so they cover the length of the pastry strips.
Place the sausage meat in the center of the rolls and baste half the pastry with the beaten egg and fold the pastry over so that the meat is covered by it.
Baste the rolls with the beaten egg and place in the a preheated oven of 200 degrees C (400 degrees F) and cook for roughly 25 minutes until golden brown.
14.SAUSAGE WRAPPED IN BACON
Ingredients
1 packet pork chipolatas
12 rindless bacon rashers
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, place the sausages on a kebab stick
Cut the bacon in half and then length ways wrap the bacon strip around the sausage.
Place the sausage wrapped bacon in a preheated oven of 200 degrees C (400 degrees F) and cook for roughly 25 minutes, turning once. Serve.
15.PICKLED ONIONS
Ingredients
1.5 kg small onions
100 g salt
Water
Vinegar
Directions
For this Christmas recipe, firstly, peel and clean the onions and place in a bowl along with the salt, place a lid on top and allow to soak for 12 hours or overnight.
Remove from the water and dry them and place them in jars, add vinegar until the level reaches the top of the jar. Place the lids on the jars and make sure you tighten them securely. And store them in a cool place for 3 -4 weeks.
