Chicken and Pesto Pasties
OPH Good Housekeeping & Homemaking Recipes "How do I make chicken pasties?"This superb chicken and pesto pasties are extremely tasty, can be eaten all year round and are quick and easy to prepare and cook. Enjoy! Serves (4) Ingredients
400g roast chicken375g ready rolled puff pastry 4 tbspn green pesto 4 tomatoes 1 eggPinch of salt to taste Directions The first thing you need to do in order to make these chicken and pesto pasties is to cut the ready rolled puff pastry into four evenly sized rectangles. Next spread one tablespoon of green pesto over each pastry rectangle and place an equal amount of chicken and sliced tomatoes in the center. When you have done this you'll need to fold over the pastry to make 4 parcels and then crimp them with a fork to make sure they close. Now beat the egg in a bowl and brush each pasty with the beaten egg. Finall place the chicken and pesto pasties on greased baking tray and place in a 200 degrees C (390 degrees F) pre-heated oven and cook for roughly 15 minutes or until the pasties are golden brown.
