What to buy
6 frozen coley steaks - £2.52
4 x baking potatoes - £0.75
40g instant parsley sauce mix - £0.45
1kg frozen mixed veg - £1.08
Total cost - £4.80

Directions
The first thing you need to do for this cheap fish pie recipe is to wash, peel and cut into quarters the baking potatoes, boiling them for roughly 20 minutes until they are soft.

While you're waiting for the potatoes to cook grab the defrosted frozen coley and cut it into bite size chunks. Now, defrost and drain the mixed veg, ensuring that any larger vegetables are cut into smaller pieces.

After you have done this make the parsley sauce by following the instructions on the packet. Now, stir in the fish and half the vegetables, season and pour mixture into an ovenproof dish.

When you have done this wait for the potatoes to have finished cooking, drain and mash them with 75ml of milk until nice and smooth. Spread the mash over the fish mixture and bake in a pre-heated oven at a temperature of 200 degrees C (390 degrees C) for about 45minutes.

Whilst the fish piue is cooking boil the rest of the mixed veg and serve as a side dish.

That's it, cheap fish pie for less than a fiver. Not bad eh?
