Beef Casserole Recipe
This beef casserole recipe is a great to cook up during the long and cold winter months and just takes a few minutes to prepare. Serves (4) Ingredients
750 g cubed braising steak 350ml Stock 200 g Mushrooms 400 g Chopped Tomatoes in sauce 15 g Tomato Puree 2 Onions 2 Carrots 1 crushed garlic cloves 15 ml vegetable oil Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 190 degrees C (380 degrees F)Place the oil in a frying pan and add the steak to brown. Remove the steak from the frying pan and place on a plate. To the frying pan add the carrots, onions and garlic and cook till they become tender.Pop the steak into a casserole dish and add the stock, tomatoes, puree, salt and pepper and bring to the boil.Cover the casserole dish and pop it in the preheated oven and cook for 90 minutes. At this point add the mushrooms, give a quick stir and place casserole bag in the oven for an extra 25 minutes. There you go, you have a superbly tasty beef casserole in a matter of minutes.
