Barbecue Pork Recipes

Below my barbecue pork recipes, they’re a quick and tasty which are aimed to help you maintain your level of good housekeeping and are an excellent way to kick off a family barbecue. Why not try them out and see what you think.

BBQ RIBS

Serves (4)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2.5 - 3 pounds pork spareribs
  • 2 onion halves
  • 1100 ml barbeque sauce
  • 8 g salt
  • 5 g ground black pepper
  • DIRECTIONS

  • Pop the ribs in a large pan and add the onions, salt, pepper and barbecue sauce.
  • Fill the pan with water, to just about cover the ribs. Bring the pan to the boil, and allow to simmer for 40 – 45 minutes.
  • Take the ribs from the pan (don’t throw away the juices from the pan, as this will be used to baste the ribs as they are grilling) and pop them on a preheated barbecue grill.
  • Grill the ribs for roughly 20 minutes turning frequently and basting as you go along.
  • PERFECT PORK CHOPS

    Serves (4)

    INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Pork chops
  • 75 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 75 ml lemon juice
  • 5g garlic powder
  • 5 g ground ginger
  • 5 g curry powder
  • DIRECTIONS

  • This barbecue pork recipe is fantastic to prepare on a hot summers day…
  • Combine the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, garlic and ginger in a small bowl.
  • Place the pork chops in another bowl and pour the marinade over them. Pop them in the fridge for about 3 hours to marinate them, turning them once.
  • Place the pork on the barbecue grill and cook for 20 minutes, turning once, while the cook, sprinkle on the curry powder. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
  • FIERY KEBABS

    Beware!! This barbecue pork recipe is very hot, and not for the feint hearted, so enjoy.

    Serves (4)

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound pork loin, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 4 kebab sticks
  • 10 ml hot pepper sauce
  • 5 ml white wine vinegar
  • 10 ml vegetable oil
  • 5 ml brown sugar
  • DIRECTIONS

  • Combine the hot pepper sauce, vinegar, oil and sugar in a bowl and give it a good stir.
  • Get a bag and put the pork into it, adding the marinade as you do so. Give the bag a good shake, to cover the pork.
  • Remove from the bag the pork and skewer them with skewers, pop them on a barbecue and grill for approx. 12 minutes, turning frequently. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
  • PINEAPPLE AND HAM KEBABS

    Serves (4)

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound 1 inch cubed cooked ham
  • 4 skewers
  • 5 ml English mustard
  • 15 g brown sugar
  • 10 ml white wine vinegar
  • 5 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • DIRECTIONS

  • Combine the mustard, sugar, vinegar and oil in a bowl and give it a give it a good stir.
  • In a n alternate fashion place the pineapple and ham on the kebab stick. Baste the kebabs and place them on a barbecue grill and cook for roughly 7 minutes, turning frequently and basting as you do so. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.

    SPICY PORK STEAKS

    Serves (4)

    INGREDIENTS

  • 4 pork steaks
  • 3 g cayenne pepper
  • 5 g curry powder
  • 5 g garlic powder
  • 3 g thyme
  • 3 g rosemary
  • 3 g salt
  • 10 g black pepper
  • DIRECTIONS

  • In a bowl stir together the cayenne pepper; curry powder, garlic and herbs in a bowl.
  • The pork is then coated in the mixture and placed in the fridge to marinate for roughly 45 minutes
  • Place the steaks on the barbecue grill and cook for roughly 30 minutes, turning once. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
