Barbecue Chicken Recipes

Below are my barbecue chicken recipes, they’re a nice and tasty way to kick off a family barbecue. Why not try them out and see what you think?

1.SUCCULENT CHICKEN BREASTS
Serves (4)
INGREDIENTS
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
20 ml olive oil
Salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS
Under cold water, rinse the chicken breasts and then pat dry by using paper towels.
Baste the breasts with the oil and then season them with the salt and pepper.
Place the chicken breasts on the pre-heated barbecue grill and cook for roughly 12 minutes, turning once. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve this gorgeous barbecue chicken recipe.
2.CHICKEN TIKKA KEBABS
Serves (4)
INGREDIENTS
4 cubed boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 kebab skewers
175ml natural yoghurt
5 ml lemon juice
10 g chili powder
10 g Paprika
3 g minced garlic
Pinch salt and black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
To prepare this fiery barbecue chicken recipe, place all the ingredients in a bowl and give it a good stir.
At this point the chicken is mixed into the bowl, and it must be given a good stir until the chicken pieces are fully coated.
Place the chicken in the fridge and allow marinate for a couple of hours.
Put the chicken cubes on the kebab skewers and place them on a preheated barbecue grill and cook as required turning them frequently. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
3.BARBECUE CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS
Serves (4)
INGREDIENTS
12 chicken drumsticks
20 ml brown sauce
30 ml tomato sauce
5 ml Worcestershire sauce
10 ml olive oil
DIRECTIONS
For this barbecue chicken recipe, place the all the ingredients into a bowl and give them a good old stir.
Remove the skin from the drumsticks and pop them in a plastic re-sealable. Into the bag pour in the ingredients and give the bag a good shake, to ensure the chicken is fully covered in the marinade.
Place the bag in the fridge and allow to marinate for about 30 minutes.
Remove the drumsticks from the bag and place on a preheated grill and cook for 22 minutes, turning frequently. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve
4. TANDOORI CHICKEN
Serves (4)
INGREDIENTS
4 chicken breasts
10 g curry powder
300 ml warm water
10 ml fresh lemon juice
5 g ground black pepper
20 g salt
125 g butter
DIRECTIONS
Place the chicken breasts on a low heat grill and cook for 15 minutes, turning frequently in the process.
Place the salt in the water and give it a quick stir. Baste the chicken breast with the solution.
Return the breast to the grill and carry on cooking them for 20 minutes, turning them frequently and basting as you go along.
In a saucepan melt the butter, and add the rest of the ingredients and give it a good stir. At this point you can discard the salt solution.
Baste the chicken with the newly made solution and cook the chicken on a higher heat for 15 minutes, again turning regularly and basting as you go along. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
5.TRADITIONAL BBQ JERK CHICKEN
Serves (4)
INGREDIENTS
12 chicken drumsticks, skinned
20 ml olive oil
25 ml fresh lemon juice
20 g traditional Jamaican jerk seasoning
15 ml soy sauce
DIRECTIONS
To prepare this fabulous barbecue chicken recipe, firstly remove the skin fro the chicken drumsticks, and place them in a dish.
Combine the ingredients in a bowl, give a good stir, and pour over the chicken, making sure it is fully coated.
Place the dish in the fridge and allow to marinade for roughly 40 minutes
Pop the chicken on a preheated barbecue grill and cook for 25 minutes, turning frequently. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
6.SPICY BARBECUE CHICKEN
Beware!! This barbecue chicken recipe isn’t for the feint hearted, so enjoy.
Serves (4)
INGREDIENTS
1 kg chicken pieces
25 ml hot pepper sauce
125 ml tomato ketchup
20 ml vegetable oil
10 g minced garlic
50 ml vinegar
15 ml Worcestershire sauce
5 g brown sugar
3 g dry mustard
40 g chopped onion
2 g salt
Pinch black pepper
Place the oil, garlic and onion in a frying pan and cook until onion is translucent..
Into the frying pan pour in the rest of the ingredients, bring to the boil and allow to simmer, stirring frequently for roughly 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
Pop the chicken onto a pre-heated barbecue grill and cook for 25 minutes, turning regularly and basting with the prepared marinade as you go along. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
7.BOOZY CHICKEN
Serves (4)
INGREDIENTS
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
250 ml brown ale
250 ml soy sauce
250 ml water
10 g minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
To prepare this delicious barbecue chicken recipe, place all the ingredients into a bowl and give a good stir.
Pop the chicken into a bowl and pour in the marinade, and place the bowl in the fridge for roughly 7 hours to allow to marinate.
Remove the chicken from the bowl and place it on a preheated barbecue grill and cook for roughly 25 minutes, turning frequently. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve.
